The SFX to Sand Filter conversion seal plate allows the use of the SFX filtration system skimmer feature when attaching a sand filtration system to the pool. This conversion plate can also be used to attach RX Filtration systems to existing SFX filtration systems. The SFX conversion plate fits inside the pump motor seal nut that screws onto the bottom of SFX Canisters to allow for taking out the pump entirely. This plate is not needed if connecting a Sand filtration system or an RX filtration system directly to a pool with Two small openings.

The big plastic screw on piece on the bottom has hole that the motor covers so without the motor there wouldnt be a bottom piece. This fit perfectly in my skimmer. I unscrewed the bottom, took out the pump motor, put this plate in and screwed the bottom ring on tight and i have no leaks and my water flow to my new filter improved. Glad i found this as the other piece which is the big screw on cap costs more than $12 more.

I bought this to help convert the filter that came with my Summer Waves pool to a sand filter.
